Reporting on the recent developments in Greece is hardly an easy task. Everyday something new happens which further enforces the belief that the government of mr Papandreou has set as its main goal to totally destroy Greece as a nation-state, economically ruin Greeks and secure the invasion and occupation of Greek lands by swarms of illegal immigrants. This report deals with three major news from Greece, which were picked as representative of the situation in Greece, between dozens of others. The news are: the fuel truck drivers strike, the assassination of an independent blogger by leftwing terrorists and the realization that Greece is no longer a sovereign state.

Fuel truck drivers against the government.
Fuel truck drivers have been involved in a struggle against the government which calls for the liberalization of the freight sector. For decades, an individual who wanted to acquire a license to practice the job of the fuel truck driver had to pay an enormous amount of money (approximately close to 300.000 Euros). That led to the creation of a market of individual entrepreneurs, small family businesses and a thriving industry from which thousands of families were sustained.  Acquiring a license became a serious investment for one’s future and family it also meant that only certified individuals could do that job.
However the government in accordance with the IMF “troika” decided to break down the freight sector by minimizing the cost of the licenses. Apparently, if that measure is implemented thousands of individuals will lose their life-term investments and will sooner or later be brushed aside by large multinational corporations which will take over the freight sector for a minimum cost. It goes without saying that the Greek drivers will be easily replaced by immigrants who will be willing to work for a minimum fee and as a result thousands of Greek families will starve.
The timing of the attempted reform on the freight sector by the government is of serious consideration. Greece is at the peak of the tourist season and the fuel truck drivers’s strike is a tremendous blow against the tourist industry. Consequently, businessmen and employees of the tourist sector turned against the fuel truck drivers which of course was the “divide and conquer” plan of the government in the first place.
As of today, the 1st of August, 2010 government and fuel truck drivers decided to return to the negotiations table.

Execution of blogger by leftwing terrorists.
Troktiko.blogspot.com was considered by far the most popular blog in Greece and according to google statistics the blog with the most visits per day in the world! For virtually almost any Greek with access to the internet, Troktiko was a must in regards to alternative information. It bravely reported incidents that the politically correct leftwing dominated media in Greece refused to mention. News of patriotic interest were often posted on Troktiko, the blog also differed from mainstream media in its stance on Christianity and the Greek-Orthodox Church. Whilst the mainstream media adore to attack, ridicule and smear the faith of Greeks, Troktiko was supportive of the Church and religion. Moreover, the blog was highly critical of the violent riots and irresponsible behaviour of the Left. That is why it was strongly hated by the far left circles in Greece.
On the 19th of July early in the morning the “brain” behind Troktiko, independent journalist Sokratis Giolias was assassinated by what later proved to be a leftwing terrorist group called “Sehta Epanastaton” (tr. Sect of Revolutionaries). The group has openly declared war against the mass media in its manifestos. However what puzzled the thinking people in Greece was the target of the terrorists. Instead of going after the highly corrupted journalists of the major networks, who are obedient tools of the system, the terrorists preferred to silence an alternative and independent blog. Thus, they not only deprived the average Greek of a valuable and alternative source of information but also eliminated the major antagonist of the mass media who they (the terrorists) claim to struggle against. A few days after the assassination, the associates of S.Giolias decided to stop posting news on Troktiko.

Greece no longer a sovereign state
Much have been written and said regarding the extraordinary power the so-called “troika” (i.e. the agents of IMF) enjoys in Greece; however a recent incident proves that the country has clearly abolished its sovereignty as a state. The “troika” has visited and meticulously examined the spending of ministries in Greece. Accordingly, it made remarks on how the ministers can cut down their spending. However, The Ministry of National Defence (Ypourgeion Ethnikis Amynas) was a common belief it would have a different treatment due to its sensitive nature and role in the defence of Greece by outside forces. Alas that was not the case. The government of mr Papandreou decided to pass the top secret plans for the future armament of the military to the “troika”. Such key documents for the survival of the state have not been available to foreigners since Greece was under German occupation during the Second World War. By any measure such an act is equivalent of the highest treason and clearly shows that Greece has abolished its sovereignty and independence. To what extent the “troika” agents will demand alterations in the future armament plan or even its complete cancellation remains unknown. What it was publicized is the fact that the IMF agents demanded the severe cutting of the spending of the military in fuels, ammunition and the possible cancellation of major military exercises etc.
With Turkish military airplanes continuously violating the Greek airspace and Turkey openly disputing large parts of the Aegean Sea such worrying developments can only mean the future inability of Greece to defend its soil from Turkish aggressiveness or the acceptance of an alteration of the status quo in the Aegean Sea.
